Swivel Joints

Ritepro's loading arms and floating suctions are assembled using the basic swivel joints illustrated below. Models E81 to E88 feature a double row of ball bearings to ensure alignment and load carrying ability. These are available in aluminium, ductile iron, steel and stainless steel. Although shown with threaded ends, flanged connections are also available. Fabricated units are available which feature a chemical cartridge seal and buttweld ends.

The Model E857 is the base unit used on heavy duty loaders, ie Series 400 and 500. This unit is constructed of Ductile Iron and steel providing tremendous strength with high ductility and corrosion resistance. Two sets of tapered roller bearing afford friction free movement in the horizontal plane and assure permanent alignment and performance under heavy load use. O-Ring seals, which operate against polished surfaces, may be replaced in less than 15 minutes without dismantling any connections. The 3" and 4" sizes come with an ANSI Class 150 flange one end and a female NPT thread or flange on the other.

Swivel Joint E856 This E856 swivel joint is specially designed for loading assemblies requiring a horizontal rotation of 280°; heavily built and completely bal bearing fortified. This joint incorporates three sets of ball bearings; two for radial load and the third for thrust. Perfect alignment of these three bearings provides maximum packing life and smooth, easy vertical movement. The O-Ring seals work against polished surfaces to guard against leaking, corrosion and wear. O-Ring seals are quickly replaced, without dismantling any connections by removing flange bolts, replacing seals, and restoring bolts. Construction of the swivel joint is ductile iron. The connections at both ends can be either flanged or threaded.
